Jan. 31^st  CEPF signed the agreement with the Organizing Committee of Great Wall Green Project to jointly establish "Great Wall Green Project Foundation of Chinese Environmental Protection Foundation". The Organizing Committee contributed RMB 100,000 Yuan as the initiation fund. The Foundation was established to support the green projects of protecting Great Wall.
March 1^st  CEPF held the initiation ceremony for the "Special Fund for Green Waters Projects and Special Fund of Blue Sky Project of Chinese Environmental Protection Foundation". These two funds aimed at supporting the organizations and individuals who made preeminent contributions to the water pollution control and atmospheric pollution monitoring, and promoting the development of the research, advocacy, education, training, academic exchange.
March 6^th  the "Special Fund for Environmental Projects of Chinese Environmental Protection Foundation" was formally initiated. The establishment of this fund was to encourage and reward the organizations and individuals that made the outstanding contributions to the environmental projects; support and aid the cooperation and exchange on environmental projects and environmental protection; and promote the sustainable development in China.
March 12^th  the second council meeting of Chinese Environmental Protection Foundation was held in Beijing. The meeting unanimously passed the work report and financial report of the 1st Council and the Bylaw of Chinese Environmental Protection Foundation. The meeting elected the council members, standing council members, vice directors and director of the 2nd Council.
April 2^nd  CEPF and WILDAID held the "Symposium for Protecting Chinese Endangered Species" in Beijing. More than 60 representatives from the State Administration of Environmental Protection, Ministry of Foreign Economic & Trade Cooperation, Customs General Administration of PRC, WILDAID and news media were present at the meeting.
April 14^th  CEPF with Capital Greening Committee, Organizing Committee of Great Wall Green Projects, and People's Government of Yanqing County of Beijing jointly held the activity of the 1st Chinese Great Wall International Planting Festival. More than 800 students from universities participated in the activity.
July 23^rd to 24^th  the "Symposium of Harmonious Development of Mankind with Nature, Environment and Economy" sponsored by CEPF was held in Gaoming of Guangdong. More than 200 scholars, experts and representatives of entrepreneurs form mainland China, Hong Kong Taiwan, USA, Germany, Malaysia, and Sri Lanka, etc. were present at the meeting.
Sept. 11^th  Qu Geping, President of CEPF and Director of Director of Environment & Resources Protection Committee of NPC was granted the "Duke of Edinburgh's Award" by WWF at Spain.
Sept. 18^th  CEPF held the initiation ceremony for "China's Green Territory Project" in Great Hall of People to recommend the first educational map reflecting the ecological state of China.
Dec. 2^nd  the "China's Green Territory Project" of CEPF Held the first term of training for green little reporters in Beijing Dongzhimen Middle School. More than 80 students from 20 middle and primary schools in Beijing received the training.
